Start by explaining the real business
Institutions look beyond incorporation documents. They need to understand the owners and directors, customers and suppliers, transaction markets, source of funds, account purpose and how the team operates. The explanation should agree with contracts, the website, invoices and financial records.
Company and controller documents
- Incorporation documents, articles, ownership chart and recent changes
- Identity and address evidence for directors, shareholders and beneficial owners
- Related companies, trading history and key-person profiles
Business and transaction evidence
- Signed or proposed contracts, orders and invoices
- Product, service, website, platform or supply-chain information
- Main counterparties, currencies, transaction ranges and payment paths
- Office, people or other evidence of operating capacity
Cross-check before submission
The company name, industry description, contracting entity, website and application answers should not contradict one another. Complex ownership, higher-risk markets, pass-through payments or large transactions need a clear commercial explanation.
Boundary
Banks and licensed payment institutions make their own KYC and risk decisions. Document review can reduce gaps, but it cannot replace the institution's final assessment.
